Woman, 89, Killed in Two-Car Crash in Torrance

TORRANCE, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) – An 89-year-old woman died Friday in a two-vehicle crash at Anza Avenue and Torrance Boulevard in Torrance.

The two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances at around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28th, according to the Torrance Police Department and MyNewsLA.

A 24-year-old man driving a 2020 Dodge Charger reportedly collided with the elderly woman’s 2003 Toyota Echo, police said.

Police responded and managed to get the injured woman out of her vehicle and provide medical help to her until paramedics arrived. She was provided life-saving measures and transported to a hospital where she later died. There were no other injuries reported.

Police closed down Anza Avenue between Torrance Boulevard and Lenore Street to conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash.
