Bruce Applegate, 64, Killed
FREMONT, California (August 28, 2016) – A fatal traffic collision was reported Sunday morning on the Interstate 680 Freeway, according to East Bay Times.
The crash took place just before 6 a.m. in northbound lanes of Interstate 680 just north of the Washington Boulevard on-ramp.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Bruce Applegate.
All lanes of the northbound 680 Freeway was forced to shut down as a Sig-alert was issued at 6:25 a.m. The roadway was reopened at 9:24 a.m.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident and the total number of vehicles involved.
