Tanker Truck, Pickup Crash on State Route 20
WILLIAMS, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2023) — A semi-tanker truck and pickup were involved in a fatal accident on Highway 20 near King Road Friday morning in the Williams area.
The deadly crash occurred around 6:06 a.m. on Sept. 1st, just west of The Charter Family Fruit Stand in Colusa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A semi-truck hauling a diesel tank reportedly collided with a GMC pickup truck in a fiery crash on State Route 20, the CHP report said. The pickup truck came to a rest on the south shoulder of the highway and was completely engulfed in flames, police said. The pickup was on its side and roughly 20 to 30 feet of the roadway and down a slight embankment, authorities said.
Additionally, paramedics responded to the scene, but sadly at least one person died in the collision. There are no specific details about how many people were hurt or killed at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal truck accident on Highway 20.
