2-Vehicle Accident North of Los Banos
MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (July 7, 2023) — A big rig truck and a car were involved in a fatal crash Thursday morning at Ingomar Road and Cottonwood Road, just north of Los Banos.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 8:51 a.m. on July 6th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a black sedan collided with the truck due to unknown circumstances. The car suffered major front-end damage and its driver or a passenger died following the accident. The identity, age and gender of the person who died was not released.
A tow truck removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway and investigators are piecing together what happened to determine fault for the Los Banos crash.
Liability for the fatal crash on Ingomar Road has not been determined.
