Man, Woman Killed in Crash into Bank Building
TUSTIN, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2023) — A fatal Tustin car accident happened early Monday when a car crashed into a US Bank on East First Street at Newport Avenue.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred at around 3 a.m. on Nov. 6th, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
A man and a woman in the blue Chrysler Camaro car were reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle crashed into the side of the bank building, the Orange County Register reports.
Witnesses reported seeing a blue Camaro pass them and estimated the vehicle was traveling at roughly 90 miles per hour as it drove westbound on East First Street.
Upon impact, the front of the car caught on fire and both people died at the scene, according to fire officials.
At this time, it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the traffic accident.
Meanwhile, the identity of the man and woman who died will be released after notification to the next of kin.
