VACAVILLE, Calif. (Dec. 10, 2024) – A 42-year-old Crockett man riding an electric scooter died Saturday night when a pickup truck hit him on Gibson Canyon Road in Vacaville.
The fatal traffic accident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 7th, just south of Farrell Road in the Vacaville area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency crews responded and located the injured man lying on the shoulder of the road, but he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

DUI was not considered a factor in the crash.
Meanwhile, detectives say the man riding the scooter was wearing a reflective safety vest, however, he was not wearing a helmet.
