Deadly Solo Crash on State Route Highway 126 in Ventura
VENTURA, Calif. (Jan. 25, 2022) — A fatal Ventura crash on Highway 126 near Briggs Road happened Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a solo-vehicle crash about 9:43 p.m. on Jan. 24th on the eastbound side of State Route 126. A man and woman were riding in the silver Dodge Dart that reportedly crashed into a tree due to unknown reasons.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded due to major injuries. The two people were located at the scene where the vehicle had major front-end damage.
It’s unknown if one or both people died in the crash.
The Ventura County Sheriff Coroner has not released any details about the victim or victims at this time.
Meanwhile, the CHP is heading up an investigation into liability for the collision.
