2-Vehicle Crash Leaves One Dead, One Injured
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (July 22, 2024) — A fatal, two-vehicle crash happened early Sunday morning at La Mesa Road and Amethyst Road in Victorville.
One person died and another was hospitalized with critical injuries after the traffic collision, according to the Victor Valley News Group.
The traffic accident occurred at 1:47 a.m. on July 21, 2024 at the Victorville intersection of La Mesa and Amethyst Roads.
A driver in a blue 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck reported rear-ended a black 2021 Toyota Camry due to unknown circumstances.
The pickup truck went off the roadway and overturned on the grass at Liberty Elementary School, the report said.
Paramedics responded and located the male driver outside of his vehicle with severe injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, the man died following the collision.
Meanwhile, the driver from the black Camry came to a stop facing west on La Mesa Road. The vehicle had major rear-end damage and the motorist had undisclosed major injuries.
There is an investigation underway in the crash on La Mesa Road by the Victorville Police Department.
