Teenage Girl Riding Bicycle Hit by Vehicle
VISALIA, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2024) — A 17-year-old girl died Saturday night in a car accident while riding her bicycle on Riggin Avenue near Shirk Street in Visalia.
The deadly crash occurred at around 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 21st, according to ABC 30 News.
Officers responded to the crash scene on Riggin Avenue and located the injured girl and her bicycle in the roadway. She was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center and died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, police spoke with the involved driver about what happened and determined the girl was riding her bike in the eastbound lane of Riggin Avenue when the crash occurred.
Detectives are working to determine fault for the fatal bicycle accident on Riggin Avenue.
