Car Crashes on Sidewalk, Hitting Pedestrians in Visalia
VISALIA, Calif. (March 25, 2022) — A fatal Visalia pedestrian accident happened Thursday night at Mooney Boulevard and Noble Avenue.
The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on March 24th at the Visalia intersection, according to news reports.
A driver in a pickup truck allegedly drove through a red traffic light and collided with an SUV. The impact caused the truck to get pushed up onto the sidewalk where it struck two pedestrians.
Paramedics responded and rushed both injured pedestrians to the hospital. One of them died at the hospital and the other is being treated for serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Police are investigating the case and preliminary results indicate that drugs and/or alcohol were not factors that contributed to the crash.
