Car, Semi-Truck Collide at Wasco Intersection
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2024) — A fatal crash in Wasco left a woman dead and two others injured on Thursday afternoon at McCombs Road and Scofield Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at the Wasco intersection at around 12:40 p.m. on Feb. 1st, according to a report by KGET.
Officials reported the drivers of a sedan and a semi-truck were involved, but it’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident.
A woman was among three injured in the crash, but she died at the scene, the report said. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan was injured and transported to a hospital. The truck driver had minor injuries after the collision, but not taken to a hospital.
Witnesses to the Wasco crash on McCombs Road may contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
