Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicles In Watts Hit-and-run Crash
WATTS, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2020) – An unidentified 40-year-old man died Monday morning when he was struck by a car in a pedestrian accident at a Watts intersection.
The collision, which involved at least one hit-and-run driver, took place about 4 a.m. at Central Avenue and 112th Street, according to a report by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations.
The victim was struck by multiple vehicles and unfortunately died at the scene, police said.
Only one of the motorists stopped tried to provide aid to the critically injured man. The other vehicles continued driving after the incident, but it’s unknown at this time if police have a description of their vehicles.
Police are speaking with witnesses about what happened, but they are urging others who saw the crash to step forward.
