Man, 64, Fatally Injured in Wilmington Hit-And-Run
WILMINGTON, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2021) – A fatal Wilmington hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Monday night at Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street.
Now police are hoping the public will help them to identify the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 64-year-old man in
Wilmington.
Authorities report crash happened about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6th as the man was crossing Banning Boulevard near Anaheim Street.
Wilmington Pedestrian Accident
A motorist traveling eastbound on Anaheim Street struck the victim and then fled the scene without stopping, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the injured man to a hospital. Sadly, he later died of his injuries at the hospital. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner has not released his name.
At this time, police did not release a description of the suspect or vehicle involved in the Wilmington pedestrian accident.
