Man Killed in Collision on Ventura 101 Freeway
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning on the Ventura 101 Freeway south of Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills.
The deadly crash occurred on the westbound US 101 at 5:51 a.m. on Sept. 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a van and two sedans were blocking the fast lane following the collision. A red sedan struck the victim and wound up with front-end damage on the eastbound side of the freeway.
Paramedics and police responded to help the injured man, but unfortunately he died at the scene.
Police closed down the westbound and eastbound Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the Ventura Freeway for at least one hour and tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Woodland Hills pedestrian accident on the 101 Freeway.
