Head-on Crash in Yolo County on CR-31
YOLO COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2024) — A fatal head-on crash in Yolo County happened Wednesday on Country Road 31 near County Road 95.
The deadly collision occurred at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol and KCRA 3.
CHP officials reported one of the drivers veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another motorist in a car. The driver in the oncoming car sustained major injuries and died following the head-on crash.
Police responded to the scene and closed down the roadway for roughly two hours to investigate what happened.
Authorities did not provide any details about the alleged wrong-way driver or the victim who died from the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
