Woman, 93, Killed in Crash on Highway 99
YUBA COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2021) — A fatal Yuba City crash on Highway 99 Wednesday morning left a 93-year-old woman dead near Stewart Road.
The Yuba City woman died in the hospital shortly after the collision involving multiple vehicles, according to California Highway Patrol.
The woman was driving a 2018 Toyota southbound on Highway 99. She reportedly entered the left turn lane near Stewart Road about 9:28 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10th, police said.
The driver of a 2016 Mazda was traveling in the No. 2 lane in the opposite direction northbound towards the intersection. Just behind the Mazda, a driver in a 2005 Lexus was traveling in the first lane.

Meanwhile, the elderly woman in the Toyota pulled out in front of oncoming traffic to make a left-hand turn. She pulled out directly in front of the other two vehicles, the report said.
That’s when the Mazda crashed into the Toyota. The Toyota subsequently spun around counter-clockwise and hit the right rear corner of the Lexus.
Both of the drivers in Toyota and the Mazda suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Sadly, the 93-year-old woman later died at the hospital.
Investigators do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were a factor in the Yuba City crash, however, the cause remains under investigation.
