Woman Killed in Hit-and-run Crash on Garden Highway
YUBA CITY, Calif. (May 20, 2022) — A fatal Yuba City hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Thursday morning on Garden Highway near Del Monte Avenue.
A driver reportedly struck a woman crossing the highway about 5:50 a.m. on May 19th, according to Yuba City Police Department.
Authorities are now searching for the hit and run suspect who left the scene.
Deadly Hit-and-run Crash
A driver was traveling southbound on Garden Highway at the same time a woman was crossing the roadway, police said. The motorist struck the woman and she suffered major injuries.
The car was last seen traveling southbound on Garden Highway. The suspect’s vehicle is a 2009-2012 gray Honda two-door coupe sedan with damage to the front right side.
Meanwhile, police and medical personnel responded to the scene to help the injured woman. Paramedics transported her to Adventist Rideout Hospital where she later died, the Yuba City Police Department said.

Finally, authorities did not release the identity of the victim at this time.
