Both Victims Airlifted to Hospital
LANCASTER, California (July 2, 2016) – An 8-year-old girl and her 28-year-old father have been severely injured as a result of a hit-and-run collision at North 15th Street and East Avenue K, according to Los Angeles Daily News.
The accident took place today at around 6:00 p.m.
In detail, the article mentioned the injured parties occupied a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was traveling on its lane way when it has been suddenly struck by an unknown vehicle. The force from the impact likely overthrown the motorcycle and its occupants to the ground.
The two victims have been airlifted to County USC Medical Center. The father was treated for a compound leg fracture; while the young girl was treated for severe lacerations on one side of her body.
Police affirmed that the hit-and-run driver was later arrested at Challenger Way and Avenue K after a witness followed the felon.The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Joshua Hall. Hall faced hit-and-run charges, as well as a possible DUI.
The crash remained under investigation by police.
