Pedestrian Killed on I-10 Freeway is Identified
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2022) – Fatima Mirely Castillo Perez, 24, died in a pedestrian accident late Tuesday on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the south Los Angeles area.
Additionally, the traffic accident occurred about 11:46 p.m. on Nov. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
CHP officers responded to the crash scene on the westbound side of the I-10 freeway, west of Hoover Street, the report said.
They located Fatima Castillo Perez lying near the center divider, the CHP said.
Sadly, the young woman suffered traumatic injuries and died at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved stopped and cooperated with police officers, the CHP reported.
Authorities closed down the westbound lanes of freeway for roughly three hours to conduct the investigation.
