CHICO, California — According to an article by Chico ER, 50-year-old Felicia Castaneda suffered injuries following a head-on collision on Skyway Tuesday afternoon.
The accident on March 28 happened when the driver of a Ford Taurus, 75-year-old Olmeda Weatherbie, pulled onto Skyway from Spanish Garden Drive and drove into the path of a westbound Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after 12:45 p.m. and found Chrysler passenger Castaneda suffering in injuries that required hospitalization. The victim was taken to a medical facility by a land ambulance, as per the article.
Fortunately, 62-year-old Chrysler driver Steven Jones, and Weatherbie were both unharmed after the crash.
Further investigation is underway to determine charges and liabilities.
