Felipe Parra, 27; and Danny Torres, 21, Killed in South L.A. Hit-and-Run Crash
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (September 25, 2019) – Two pedestrians killed after an alleged hit-and-run crash near Normandie Avenue and 95th Street Tuesday have been identified.
Felipe Parra, 27; and Danny Torres, 21, were victims of the fatal accident on September 24. The incident occurred at about 8:25 p.m. in the Westmont neighborhood.
California Highway Patrol said the two Los Angeles men were walking west across Normandie Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle.
According to KTLA and CBS Los Angeles, the male driver was allegedly speeding southbound when he hit Parra and Torres near the intersection.
Pedestrians Hit by Car at Normandie Avenue and 95th Street
Paramedics responded and pronounced one of the victims deceased at the scene. The other man was immediately transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop following the collision and fled south on Normandie. He left his car’s license plate in the process.
