SANTA ANA, California (May 3, 2016) – Felix Navarrete, 74, of Santa Ana died in a hospital Monday morning just days after he was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on North Fairview Street, according to the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
The pedestrian crash took place about 8:35 p.m. Friday night near West 5th Street. Navarrete was struck by a driver and then transported to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange where he was treated, but died Monday morning about 9:25 a.m. Navarrete also turned 74 on Monday.
The crash is under investigation by the Santa Ana Police Department. The report did not mention what happened to the driver who struck Navarrete.
