Motorcyclist Injured in Felton Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 9 Felton Empire Road
FELTON, CA (June 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 9 and Felton Empire Road in Felton.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck shortly after 1:30 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason on June 5. The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 9 and Felton Empire Road.
Driver Hits Motorcycle Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Felton Covered Bridge County Park. They found the motorcyclist who apparently lost consciousness as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Valley Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the motorist.
Officers forced the intersection of Highway 9 and Felton Empire Road to close following the wreck. They are still determining the cause of the hit-and-run crash.
