Felton Price III, 49, Seriously injured in Tehama County Crash on State Route 99E
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (May 16, 2022) – Felton Price III was seriously injured after a fatal crash on State Route 99E in Tehama County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 49-year-old Chico man as one of the victims in the collision which occurred on Friday.
The incident happened when Felton Price III was a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado north on State Route 99E in Tehama County. A 2015 Toyota Corolla was traveling in the same direction.
For an unknown reason, the Toyota drifted into the southbound lane. In the process, a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu headed south at the time took evasive action.
Multiple Cars Collide
CHP said the Chevrolet and the Cadillac then collided head-on at Singer Creek. The Eldorado came to rest in an embankment.
Felton Price and the driver of the Malibu ended up with significant injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed them to the hospital for treatment.
A 52-year-old man riding as a passenger in the Chevrolet died following the wreck. The Red Bluff Daily News and KRCRTV News wrote that the accident took place on May 13 at around 2:55 p.m.
Meanwhile, the female motorist in the Corolla fled the area after the incident. CHP found, arrested and charged her with vehicular manslaughter.
They soon booked the woman into the Tehama County Jail. The cause of the Tehama County crash is still under investigation.
