Ferdinand Santiago Javier, 43, Killed in Bakersfield Crash at Olive and Jewetta
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 28, 2021) – A car crash killed Ferdinand Santiago Javier at Olive Drive and Jewetta Avenue in Bakersfield.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the 43-year-old Bakersfield man as the deceased victim in the fatal wreck which occurred last week on Tuesday.
The incident happened on April 27 when a driver ran a red light at the intersection of Olive Drive and Jewetta Avenue in Bakersfield. Police said an SUV and another vehicle then collided.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
Officers affirmed that Ferdinand Santiago Javier was one of the motorists involved in the crash. His car became fully engulfed in the flames as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the other driver, a man, to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, police believed that speed played a role in the collision.
