Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Suspected DUI Driver in Lancaster

 Fernando Rodriguez Fatal Lancaster Motorcycle Accident 10th Street (July 19)LANCASTER, Calif. (July 20, 2021) – Fernando Rodriguez, 63, died in a Lancaster motorcycle accident Monday night in the 43500 block of 10th Street.

The motorcyclist collided with a vehicle near Avenue K in Lancaster, authorities said.

Someone called 911 about 9:45 p.m. on Monday, July 19th. Police arrived on scene where they located the man riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle down in the roadway. Meanwhile, the man driving the Buick pulled over and stopped at the entrance of a Target store, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Lancaster station.

Sadly, medical personnel pronounced Fernando Rodriguez dead at the scene.

Investigators stated that the suspected DUI driver in the Buick allegedly turned left in front of the motorcyclist. The rider was unable to avoid hitting the side of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with sheriff’s deputies.

Additionally, police did not provide a description of the vehicle at this time. However, the driver did not report being injured in the fatal Lancaster motorcycle accident.

Fernando Rodriguez is the father of two sons.

Also, investigators seek to determine fault for the deadly motorcycle accident. Witnesses may call traffic investigators at 661-948-8466.
