2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 110 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 25, 2021) — A fiery, multi-vehicle crash on the Harbor (110) Freeway at West Vernon Avenue happened Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles.
The crash happened about 12:53 p.m. on August 25th between four or five vehicles including a gray sedan and a white truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The white pickup truck caught on fire after the crash at the 51st Street on ramp to the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway, police said. A second vehicle also caught on fire after the collision.
Vehicles blocked the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
LAFD Responds to Harbor (110) Freeway Crash
The Los Angeles Police Department reports at least one person was injured. The man was laying in the center divider of the freeway. Police requested the Los Angeles Fire Department respond to the scene. Paramedics transported two people to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Two trucks removed several vehicles after the collision.
Meanwhile, authorities with the CHP are investigating the cause and liability.
