SANTA FE SPRINGS, California (April 21, 2016) – At least one person was hurt following a hit and run collision on northbound 5 Freeway Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 9:06 p.m. near 605 Freeway.
Preliminary record stated that two vehicles were traveling on their respective lane way when one automobile suddenly slammed into the other and sped off.
The suspect’s vehicle was described as an old gray car, as mentioned in the CHP log. While the victim’s vehicle was claimed to be a old dark colored Toyota.
Further in the CHP report, one vehicle was said to be fully engulfed by fire. But it was not clear whether the vehicle was the victim’s or another car involved.
At least one person sustained injuries after the fiery smash, as noted in the incident description by the CHP team.
Responding paramedics personnel immediately gave medical attention to the wounded party.
Investigators assigned to handle the case continue their best to serve justice.
