Bicyclist Injured in Fillmore Hit-and-Run at Highway 126 and Hopper Canyon
FILLMORE, CA (November 15, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a bicyclist at Highway 126 and Hopper Canyon Road in Fillmore.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 3 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Fillmore. The two crashed on Highway 126 at the intersection with Hopper Canyon Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 40-year-old victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the cyclist and fled the area. Officers forced Highway 126 to shut down at Hopper Canyon Road following the collision.
The cause of the Fillmore hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
