BREAKING NEWS: 2 Injured in Head-on Crash on State Route 126 in Fillmore

FILLMORE, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Fillmore car accident happened Thursday morning on East Telegraph Road also known as State Route Highway 126.

The head-on crash occurred at around 6:47 a.m. on Dec. 21st, near Lawton Ranch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. It’s the second crash on Telegraph Road in the past week.

CHP officials reported two or three motorists were involved in the collision. The vehicles sustained “significant damage” and debris was scattered across all traffic lanes.

The Ventura County Fire Department responded and located two people with undisclosed injuries were taken by ambulances to Santa Paula Hospital and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Santa Clarita.

Authorities report that all westbound lanes were blocked, but eastbound lanes remained open to traffic.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the Fillmore accident on Telegraph Road.
