1 Killed, 3 Seriously Injured in Fillmore DUI Accident on East Telegraph Road
FILLMORE (May 31, 2018) – A fatal alleged DUI collision took place Thursday afternoon along Highway 126, also known as East Telegraph Road, according to Ventura County Star and ABC 7 News.
The accident took place at approximately 2:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Telegraph Road.
As per the reports, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle was traveling west on the highway when it struck the rear of the sedan. The sedan then spun out into the eastbound lanes where it collided with a semi-truck.
Man, 30, Arrested For DUI
Officials said the driver of the sedan was killed as a result of the crash. Three other people were seriously hurt upon impact.
Two patients suffered major injuries while the third person sustained moderate injuries. The wounded individuals were then transported to the hospital for treatment.
The name of the deceased and the injured victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, the motorist who rear-ended the sedan was believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the wreck. The suspect, a 30-year-old man, was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
