SUNLAND, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2017) — Local cycling enthusiasts will gather this Sunday to honor a fellow rider who was run down in a car accident while riding his road bike with his family on La Tuna Canyon Road.
Keith Jackson, 52, of Burbank was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday, Dec. 9th while ascending La Tuna Canyon Road in Sunland. The married father of three was critically injured in the collision and is now fighting for his life in the ICU at an area hospital where he remains in a coma.
The suspect was driving a black Mazda SUV and police continue to search for the person.
Organizers of the “Finish the Ride” meet-up will gather at 8:30 a.m. in the LA Zoo parking lot. The ride will commence about 9 a.m. with cyclists completing the ride Jackson didn’t get to finish. They will go up La Tuna Canyon Road on a 32-mile road trip.
Those of us at Johnson Attorneys Group offer our prayers to Mr. Jackson in hopes of a full recovery.
A Go Fund Me page has been established to help Mr. Jackson and his family with medical costs.
