4 Hurt in Crash in Palmdale
PALMDALE, Calif. (Jan. 25, 2024) – Four people were injured today in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Los Angeles County Fire Department truck and other vehicles on Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale.
The head-on crash occurred on East Palmdale Boulevard about 10:10 a.m. Thursday on Palmdale Boulevard, just east of 140th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fire truck was responding to an emergency with its lights and sirens. Meanwhile, a westbound Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation vehicle collided with a white Ford F-150 pickup truck on Palmdale Boulevard, KTLA reports. The county vehicle then veered into the path of the fire truck and collided head-on.
Three people including two with major injuries were airlifted with to Antelope Valley Hospital. They were later listed in stable condition. Two of them are firefighters, but there is no further information.
Furthermore, a fourth person, who is a civilian, was treated on scene for minor injuries and released.
The roadway was closed down between 140th and 150th streets for several hours to allow police to investigate the circumstances leading up to the Palmdale crash.
