1 Killed in Firebaugh Head-On Crash on Avenue 7 1/2 Sunday
FIREBAUGH, CA (March 27, 2022) – A head-on crash killed at least one person on Avenue 7 1/2 in Firebaugh.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:04 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in the city. They crashed on Avenue 7 1/2 near Firebaugh Boulevard.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a silver Toyota Sequioa and a green Ford Ranger. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Avenue 7 1/2 to shut down for more than two hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Firebaugh crash is still under investigation.
