FIREBAUGH, California (December 27, 2016) — At least one person was killed Tuesday morning in a collision on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway at the Shields Avenue off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 12:51 p.m. and involved four or five vehicles, police said. A truck driver for Dollar General stopped and was blocking traffic lanes, but was not involved in the crash.
There were no specific details about the crash, but at least three tow trucks were required and the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were blocked.
