2 Injured in Collision at Fresno County Intersection
FRESNO, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2024) – A head-on crash left two people injured Sunday morning at Nees Avenue and Oxford Avenue in Firebaugh.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 12:25 a.m. on Sept. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 17-year-old boy was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV westbound on Nees Avenue when for unknown reasons he veered into the path of an oncoming 2014 Toyota Sienna.
The vehicles were traveling at roughly 60 miles per hour when they crashed head-on.
Paramedics responded and assisted the teenage driver from the Tahoe as well as the 21-year-old driver from the Sienna. Both were wearing seatbelts and survived the crash. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
