Two Semi-Trucks Collide at Firebaugh Intersection
FIREBAUGH, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2023) — A major injury rollover crash in Firebaugh happened Friday morning on North Fairfax Avenue, just north of West Nees Avenue in Fresno County.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision between two big rig trucks at around 4:22 a.m. on Oct. 6th in the southbound lanes of North Fairfax Avenue.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision between two semi-trucks, but after they collided they both overturned. There are stop signs posted for traffic on North Fairfax Avenue entering West Nees Avenue. The report did not provide specifics on what happened at this time.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and requested a Skylife Air Ambulance to airlift at least one person with major injuries to a trauma center for further treatment.
Tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles and also found a semi-truck part in the nearby canal.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Firebaugh crash on Fairfax Avenue.
