2-Vehicle Crash on Gerber Road in Florin

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2023) — A driver allegedly ran a red light and crashed into another car in an accident Wednesday at Gerber Road and Valley Wood Drive in Florin.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:48 a.m. on Dec. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a black Lexus allegedly drove through a red traffic light and collided with a silver Honda sedan. The vehicles were blocking the intersection and at least one person had complaints of pain.

Paramedics responded to help those who were injured, but there are no specific details other than there were minor injuries involved.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine if any charges or citations will be made.

The case remains under investigation.
