Pedestrian Killed in Florin Crash at Gerber and Power Inn Roads
FLORIN, CA (January 13, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash at Gerber and Power Inn roads in Florin.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the collision shortly before 6 p.m.
The incident happened when a black sedan struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Florin. The car hit the person at the intersection of Gerber and Power Inn roads.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near the Foods Co Store. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Mazda stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. The cause of the fatal Florin pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Gerber and Power Inn roads to shut down after the accident.
