Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Florin Road Near Fawn Way
FLORIN, CA (July 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Florin Road near Fawn Way in Florin.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Thursday night. Officers reported the incident at about 10:23 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person in the 6300 block of Florin Road near Fawn Way and Stockton Boulevard.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left wounded in the roadway. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect who took off in a small sports car.
Officers forced a portion of Florin Road to shut down following the hit-and-run collision. The pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
