At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Collision on 80 Freeway Tuesday
Floriston, CA (May 18, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 80, also known as Alan Hartway Freeway, Tuesday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., CHP logged a collision involving a van. For reasons still unclear, the van overturned while driving east on I-80 Freeway.
Officials said the incident took place near Hinton Road in Floriston.

When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found the van rolled down the embankment. Paramedics immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major injuries from the crash. Additional details on the victim have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the car accident in Floriston happened.
