1 Seriously Injured in Folsom Car Crash on Eastbound Highway 50
FOLSOM, CA (June 15, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 50 in Folsom.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6:30 p.m.
CHP said a gray Chevrolet pickup truck and possibly several other vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on eastbound Highway 50, just west of Folsom Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Folsom Boulevard
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 to close for about an hour following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Folsom crash.
