3 Injured in Folsom Crash on Highway 50 Near Prairie City Road
FOLSOM, CA (May 9, 2023) – Several were hospitalized after a crash on Highway 50 near Prairie City Road in Folsom.
According to an article published by the KCRA News, the accident occurred on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 9 shortly before 8 a.m.
The incident happened when four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Folsom. The cars crashed on the westbound side of Highway 50 near Prairie City Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said a car involved that was rear-ended plunged down a dirt embankment upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 50 to shut down near Prairie City following the wreck.
The cause of the Folsom crash is still under investigation.
