FOLSOM, Calif. (May 23, 2018) — At least one person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision between a dump truck and a Toyota Venza at White Rock and Prairie City roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place about 12:58 p.m. today. The vehicles were blocking the roadway when paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department arrived on scene. The Folsom Police Department responded to investigate the cause of the crash and liability.
At least one vehicle was towed from the scene.
Folsom Accident Investigation
Police are investigating what the cause of this crash was and ultimately, who is responsible. It’s unknown at this time why the truck and vehicle collided at this intersection which is controlled by a traffic light in all directions. We do not know if either driver was turning in front of the other or if any traffic violations were involved. Investigators are going over the evidence and will piece together what happened and assign liability.
If a negligent driver or another entity is at fault for a collision resulting in injuries to you or a loved one, there may be grounds for a personal injury or wrongful death claim. While this is always a personal decision, for many the financial losses associated with a traffic accident are significant. The losses include time lost off work, medical and funeral expenses, loss of consortium and pain and suffering.
