1 Injured in Fontana Crash on 10 Freeway Near Cherry Avenue
FONTANA, CA (November 23, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a crash on the 10 Freeway near Cherry Avenue in Fontana.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Monday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 6:50 a.m.
The incident happened on November 22 when a white J.B. Hunt tractor-trailer and a gray sedan collided for an unknown reason in Fontana. The two crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway, east of Cherry Avenue.
Car and Big Rig Collide
CHP added that one of the vehicles involved rolled over due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found a female occupant who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. They then took her to the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down near Cherry following the wreck.
The cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.
