1 Injured in Fontana Crash at Cherry and Victoria Avenues
FONTANA, CA (September 7, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Cherry Avenue and Victoria Avenue in Fontana.
The Fontana Herald News wrote that the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on September 6 at about 4:04 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the northwestern part of Fontana. They crashed at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Victoria Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
One of the cars involved then slammed into an Edison pole nearby. Police said the impact knocked the wires onto the ground near the intersection.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced the intersection of Cherry and Victoria avenues to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.
