1 Injured in Fontana Crash at Cypress and Merrill Avenues
FONTANA, CA (October 20, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Cypress and Merrill Avenue in Fontana.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:20 a.m.
The incident happened on October 15 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Fontana. They crashed at the intersection of Cypress and Merrill avenues.
Police described the cars as a 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2021 Ford Edge. The Ford rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
2 Cars Collide
The female driver of the overturned car ended up trapped inside as a result of the accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed her from the wreckage.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Cypress and Merrill avenues to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.
