2 Injured in Fontana Crash on Foothill Boulevard Near Almeria Avenue
FONTANA, CA (January 6, 2022) – Two were injured after a car crash on Foothill Boulevard near Almeria Avenue in Fontana.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:51 p.m.
The incident happened on January 4 when a white Mercedes SUV and a red Ford Mustang collided for an unknown reason in Fontana.
Police said the two cars possibly crashed head-on on Foothill Boulevard, west of Almeria Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
2 Cars Collide
They extricated the driver of the Mustang who ended up trapped inside the wreckage. She sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the woman to a local hospital for further aid. They treated the motorist in the Mercedes at the site for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded patients and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Foothill to shut down near Almeria following the wreck.
The cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.
