Crash Blocks Lanes on Eastbound I-10 in Fontana, One Driver Reportedly Injured

FONTANA, Calif. (June 9, 2026) — A traffic collision involving a GMC Yukon and a semi-truck blocked multiple lanes on eastbound Interstate 10 in Fontana on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a SigAlert and a response from emergency crews, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported on June 9th at about 1:33 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 east of Citrus Avenue. Initial reports indicated the crash blocked the two right lanes, with one person reportedly trapped inside a semi-truck.

Shortly after the crash, authorities received reports that the driver of one of the involved vehicles was bleeding from the head. The severity of the injuries was not immediately known.

By 1:44 p.m., CHP officers had arrived at the scene and confirmed that the two right lanes remained blocked. Authorities requested a tow truck for a GMC Yukon that sustained major damage throughout the vehicle.

A SigAlert was issued at about 1:45 p.m. as crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the collision.
