Man Fatally Struck by Truck Near Almeria Avenue Friday
Fontana, CA (January 29, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Friday on Foothill Boulevard, according to the Fontana Herald News.
Earlier reports indicated a male party was seen walking along the north curb of Foothill, just west of Almeria Avenue. For an unknown reason, the man stepped into the number two westbound traffic lane.
The article published online mentioned an oncoming Isuzu utility truck swerved to avoid collision. However, the side mirror of the vehicle hit the pedestrian. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the male party. Responding paramedics pronounced the man dead. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the Isuzu utility truck stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash on Foothill Boulevard in Fontana.
